And every time I attend a new <strong>WordCamp<\/strong>, I realize that the answer is very simple:  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s not necessary. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The differentiating factor is created by the incredible people behind the organization of these types of events, who selflessly give their best for all attendees. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-gif aligncenter\">\n\t\t<figure>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-gif-wrapper\" style=\"padding-top:76%\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<iframe src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/10Jpr9KSaXLchW\" title=\"yes\"><\/iframe>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/figure>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Valladolid is a typical WordCamp organized with great care, and its location and people inherently give it an essential distinctive value. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ku-seo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/wc-valladolid-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"WordCamp Valladolid 2020\" class=\"wp-image-8525\"\/><figcaption>WordCamp Valladolid 2020 Organizing Team and Volunteers<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This WordCamp&#8217;s main feature is a single track, plus a workshop room running all day. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this case, many WordCamps tend to change the order and put the <strong>contributor day<\/strong> on the first day. For professional reasons, I couldn&#8217;t attend the first day (I&#8217;ll tell you why in my <a href=\"https:\/\/seoparawp.com\/podcast\/38\/\" rel=\"noopener\">podcast<\/a>).  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I do want to thank <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoseLuis_Losada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Jose Luis Losada<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/fernandot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Fernando Tellado (opens in a new tab)\">Fernando Tellado<\/a> for picking me up in Tordesillas on Friday at 11:00 PM. The only way I could attend the WordCamp was via a BlaBlaCar that dropped me off there. That favor was a huge gesture, and I will always be grateful for it.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the day of talks (second day), I divided my time between talks and workshops. In the morning, talks, and after lunch, workshops. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"8532\" src=\"https:\/\/ku-seo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/ciudadanob.jpg\" alt=\"CiudadanoB\" class=\"wp-image-8532\"\/><figcaption>CiudadanoB (Juan Hernando)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My great friend <a href=\"https:\/\/ciudadanob.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"CiudadanoB (opens in a new tab)\">CiudadanoB<\/a> (Juan Hernando) had the honor of opening the WordCamp with a talk typical of his style: A mix of monologue, <em>open source<\/em>, best practices, networking, motivation, and defense of the <strong>blog<\/strong> as a communication medium. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His advice is very useful, especially at WordCamps, where regulars already know each other, but we don&#8217;t realize that there&#8217;s a much larger group attending for the first time, facing the typical fears of going alone or not knowing the environment or the dynamics. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you also have a shy personality, those first steps are always difficult, so it&#8217;s appreciated when someone sensible gives you advice and explains what a WordCamp is, making you feel supported from the very first moment. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"8533\" src=\"https:\/\/ku-seo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Laura-Carracedo-830x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Laura Carracedo\" class=\"wp-image-8533\"\/><figcaption>Laura Carracedo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second talk I attended was by Laura Carracedo. I already knew Laura from WordCamp Pontevedra. Her vision is: Find your differentiating factor for your brand and services. I liked her reflection:    <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;Branding is slow-baked, little by little&#8221; <\/p><cite> Laura Carracedo<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"8531\" src=\"https:\/\/ku-seo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/daniel-primo.jpg\" alt=\"Daniel Primo\" class=\"wp-image-8531\"\/><figcaption>Daniel Primo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next was one of my most anticipated talks, by <strong>Daniel Primo<\/strong>, titled: &#8220;<strong>JavaScript<\/strong> Lessons for <strong>WordPress<\/strong> from an Optimistic Stowaway.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know <a href=\"https:\/\/www.danielprimo.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Daniel Primo (opens in a new tab)\">Daniel Primo<\/a> from his podcast: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.danielprimo.io\/podcast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Web Reactiva (opens in a new tab)\">Web Reactiva<\/a>, one of my favorite podcasts. It&#8217;s a luxury to meet someone you listen to every week and learn so much from. I love his content, his newsletter, and personally, he&#8217;s a great guy!  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His talk, which I highly recommend for anyone in the WordPress world and learning JavaScript, as I am, has very good tips. One of the most notable is a fantastic book called:  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"JavaScript insp&#xED;rate (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/leanpub.com\/javascript-inspirate\" target=\"_blank\">JavaScript insp\u00edrate<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kom_256\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Ulises Gasc&#xF3;n Gonz&#xE1;lez (opens in a new tab)\">Ulises Gasc\u00f3n Gonz\u00e1lez<\/a>. I bought it when I got home and started reading it\u2014a true gem. Clear and entertaining writing, good resources, I&#8217;m delighted.  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-4 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"8528\" src=\"https:\/\/ku-seo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/pablo-moratinos.jpg\" alt=\"Pablo Moratinos\" class=\"wp-image-8528\"\/><figcaption>Pablo Moratinos<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pablomoratinos.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Pablo Moratinos (opens in a new tab)\">Pablo Moratinos<\/a>? That&#8217;s an absolute guarantee of a talk that will surprise you and teach you a lot.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His talk focused on one of the most famous and misunderstood aspects of <strong>digital analytics<\/strong>: The bounce rate. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a basketball metaphor featuring Dennis Rodman, he guided us step-by-step to understand what <strong>bounce rate<\/strong> truly is, how it&#8217;s calculated, and above all, how we can measure it better based on our type of website, our niche, and especially: Our context. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-5 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"8526\" src=\"https:\/\/ku-seo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/vidania.jpg\" alt=\"Vidania\" class=\"wp-image-8526\"\/><figcaption>Vidania (Mr. Gutenberg)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdevidania.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Jos&#xE9; &#xC1;ngel Vidania (opens in a new tab)\">Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Vidania<\/a>, Mr. Gutenberg, followed with a retrospective talk on the evolution of the editor, 2 years after its incorporation into the WordPress core. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And as we can see&#8230; the world didn&#8217;t end, nor did 30% of the world&#8217;s websites break. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quite the opposite, the market expanded to other technological paths, to blocks and more creative ways to create content on our websites. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-6 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"8529\" src=\"https:\/\/ku-seo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/molo.jpg\" alt=\"Molo Cebri&#xE1;n\" class=\"wp-image-8529\"\/><figcaption>Molo Cebri\u00e1n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the afternoon, after lunch, I switched to the workshop track because I couldn&#8217;t miss the great <a href=\"https:\/\/molocebrian.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Molo Cebri&#xE1;n (opens in a new tab)\">Molo Cebri\u00e1n<\/a> with his <strong>podcasting<\/strong> workshop. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I always say, Molo may not be aware of it, but he has inspired many people to start a podcast and disseminate content through this fantastic medium. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My <a href=\"https:\/\/seoparawp.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">SEO for WordPress<\/a> podcast is directly influenced by his talk at <a href=\"https:\/\/2018.pontevedra.wordcamp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"WordCamp Pontevedra (opens in a new tab)\">WordCamp Pontevedra<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is a creative, kind, charming person who deserves all the success he is achieving with his podcasts: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Entiende tu mente (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/entiendetumente.info\/\" target=\"_blank\">Entiende tu mente<\/a> and <strong>Saliendo del c\u00edrculo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After Molo&#8217;s workshop, I wanted to see our friend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xn--davidvia-j3a.es\/\" rel=\"noopener\">David Vi\u00f1a<\/a>&#8216;s talk on <strong>sustainable development<\/strong>, but it coincided with the start of Fernando Tellado&#8217;s Rank Math workshop. So I was able to watch his talk on WordPress.tv.  \ud83d\ude42  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Didn&#8217;t I tell you? Yes&#8230; all the talks are already uploaded to the web thanks to the great work of the WP community: <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.tv\/event\/wordcamp-valladolid-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"WordPress TV WC Valladolid 2020 (opens in a new tab)\">WordPress TV WC Valladolid 2020<\/a> <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-7 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"8527\" src=\"https:\/\/ku-seo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/tellado.jpg\" alt=\"Fernando Tellado\" class=\"wp-image-8527\"\/><figcaption>Fernando Tellado<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What can I say about <a href=\"https:\/\/tellado.es\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Fernando Tellado<\/a>? He is an incredible, honest person from whom you learn a lot.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I still need to thoroughly examine the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Rank Math (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wordpress.org\/plugins\/seo-by-rank-math\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rank Math<\/a> plugin to dedicate a <strong>podcast<\/strong> episode to it, but I haven&#8217;t had time. So, attending his workshop and understanding the differences and similarities it has with the leading plugin: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Yoast SEO (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wordpress.org\/plugins\/wordpress-seo\/\" target=\"_blank\">Yoast SEO<\/a>, was enlightening. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, he not only provided a point-by-point review of the entire plugin configuration but also analyzed the company and its potential monetization model, something that often goes unnoticed but is crucial for understanding this company&#8217;s existence and future steps. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After Tellado&#8217;s session, only the final talk remained: <strong>Gutenberg in Large Media<\/strong> by <a href=\"https:\/\/igmoweb.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Ignacio Cruz (opens in a new tab)\">Ignacio Cruz<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The development story of a British media outlet like The Sun and how the new editor has fit into their publications was surprising. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Notes<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The closing of the event, as expected: Emotions from an incredible organizing group that gave us a fantastic weekend. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good after-party with wine and good company. What more could you ask for? <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We were a good Galician troop, whom I won&#8217;t mention by name because it would be an immense list. Many thanks to Jose Luis for handling all the logistics and accommodation.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will always be a pleasure to see good friends whom you only meet at these events. Please excuse me for not mentioning everyone, but there are so many of us \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I do want to mention the people who were in charge of the organization:
