I wanted to participate in as many roles as possible.  <\/p>\n\n<p>These two years have been a period that transformed many lives. I am no exception. Paradigms have been broken, new ways of communicating and sharing have been created, ways of working have changed.  <\/p>\n\n<p>But we are social entities, separation and isolation took its toll.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Although online events have generated very positive things, not being able to give a hug, share the same space, food, laughter, I think it has affected all of us.  <\/p>\n\n<p>So after <strong>643 days<\/strong> without being able to share in person, organizing a WC in the current conditions and in less than two months (call for sponsors on November 5th) has been an act of courage on the part of the organization team.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The creativity of the WP group in Seville is well known by the community, setting milestones in everything they do.  <\/p>\n\n<p>After having lived the experience in first person, I believe I am not wrong in saying that the only secret they have is the <strong>love they put in what they undertake<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>And that adjective is what I use to describe this WC: <strong>affection<\/strong>, empathy, <strong>connection<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>It has been an event dedicated by and for the community.  <\/p>\n\n<p>I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;m wrong in saying that it will be a historic WC that we will keep in our memories for a long time.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_organization\"><\/span>The organization<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-7-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"WordCamp Seville 2021\" class=\"wp-image-4751\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-7-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-7-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-7-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-7-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-7.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p>The organizing team with absolute transparency created daily <strong>Twitch<\/strong> connections, which narrated how they were organizing for the event.  <\/p>\n\n<p>They would publish an episode and invite <strong>speakers<\/strong>, <strong>volunteers<\/strong>, <strong>sponsors<\/strong>, even regular friends from the community to participate in this experiment, which you could consume on your favorite <a href=\"https:\/\/wpsevilla.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">podcasting<\/a> platform if you were unable to watch the live episode.  <\/p>\n\n<p>With a speed that left no one indifferent, they announced their celebration at <a href=\"https:\/\/spain.wordcamp.org\/2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WCES<\/a>, and since then they have not stopped creating content and also leaving a sense of excitement and surprise until the day arrived.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Many people in the organization are veterans. We met two great companions with whom we would share an adventure: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sonafpro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Sonia Alcedo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Carlapatrise\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Carla Patricia<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>It never ceases to amaze me that this type of event attracts very special people and that we establish bonds that last over time.  <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-2-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"WordCamp Seville 2021\" class=\"wp-image-4746\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-2-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-2-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/wajari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/WC-Sevilla-2-scaled.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p>We went to the <em>venue<\/em>, the place where the whole WC would be held, in <strong>Dos Hermanas<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>A social club with an impressive assembly hall and many people already approached that same Friday, with the excuse of <em>&#8220;lending a hand&#8221;<\/em> to a team exhausted from running, to reach the finish line.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The reality was that we were really looking forward to seeing each other (for real) after this very long break.  <\/p>\n\n<p>What a strange feeling to be able to hug people you&#8217;ve been interacting with for almost two years at virtual events and haven&#8217;t even gotten to meet.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Ana Gavil\u00e1n<\/strong>, whom I had the immense pleasure of meeting in the organization of the Galicia WC; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/adria_cobo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Adri\u00e1n Cobo<\/a>, an amazing developer, creative to the max, funny, who together with <a href=\"https:\/\/fgrweb.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fernando Garc\u00eda Rebolledo<\/a> has one of the most fun podcasts and communities: <a href=\"https:\/\/elarroyo.dev\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">El Arroyo<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>To the great <a href=\"https:\/\/jesusyesares.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Jes\u00fas Yesares<\/a>, at last! I don&#8217;t know how many times we met virtually and we always said the same thing: when can we meet?<\/p>\n\n<p>To Jonathan and Maria from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lucushost.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LucusHost<\/a>, a Galician company that started sponsoring online events, including <a href=\"https:\/\/galicia.wordcamp.org\/2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WC Galicia<\/a>. We had spoken only through Zoom. Especially for a detail that made the whole audience stand up, the <strong>tribute to<\/strong> the great <a href=\"https:\/\/ayudawp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fernando Tellado<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>A person who gives us a lot, both in terms of community and content. An example to follow and an inspiration. I was fascinated. \ud83e\udd70  <\/p>\n\n<p>Also during the route, part of the organizing team was telling us very nice and original details: <strong>Mariano<\/strong>, <strong>Rafa<\/strong> and of course, the laughter did not stop with <strong>Materr\u00f3n<\/strong> and his anecdotes.  <\/p>\n\n<p>And just when you thought it was all over&#8230; No, even more.  <\/p>\n\n<p>A gymkhana in which, divided into groups, we were discovering places in the city, doing challenges, taking photos, uploading tweets to social networks.<\/p>\n\n<p>I have no words to describe what this group did to us.  <\/p>\n\n<p>He gave us a fantastic weekend that filled us with illusion, after such a long time of social isolation.  <\/p>\n\n<p>I would like to warmly thank <strong>Nilo Velez<\/strong> for his creativity, for the <strong>affection<\/strong> with the Galician delegation that looked for us at the airport and took care of us until the last moment. \ud83d\ude07  <\/p>\n\n<p>It has been a privilege to meet this <strong>WordPress family from Seville<\/strong> and I will be eternally grateful to them.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The only thing I can promise you is that when you come to Galicia in
